T.Norton Fly and Arbor Presses
Norton Presses were acquired by James W Shenton many years ago
and we have been fully manufacturing the complete range of presses and spares ever since. Norton presses are supplied in 2 basic ranges:
Flypresses
-have a screw and balance weights to
drive the ram.
Arbor Presses - have a rack and pinion
Fly Presses
The fly press range comprises 5 variants
- Standard - a press with evenly proportioned throat depth and
height
- Deep Throat - has an increased centre to back dimension for
accommodating wide jobs
- Tall - has a greater base to guide height
- Bar - uses a narrow bar rather than a traditional base plate to
support jobs while pressing
- Foot - Foot operated press allowing 'hands free' operation
These presses are supplied complete with false bottom, clamps, square head bolts, nuts
and washers.
Arbor Presses
The Arbor press is a much simpler design and is used in
applications not requiring the pressures available from the Fly Press range. The basic
design is similar for all arbor presses.
