The pattern shop is an integral part of the business,
providing running repairs and alterations to customers' patterns as well as designing and
fabricating new pattern equipment. Only quality materials are used in the pattern shop,
principally pine and resin, and aluminium patterns have also been made.
The on-site pattern shop provides immediate attention to pattern equipment that has become damaged, thus avoiding the delays which would otherwise be incurred in off site repairs.
New patterns made recently include parts for a large prototype diesel engine, 3m supporting columns for a large decorative porch and set of window frames with opening lights as part of a grade II listed refurbishment project, in addition to many small components.
